I have spent the first month building traffic and backlinks to the blog, by networking, adding comments on other blogs, and submitting it to blog directories
On Friday I received a PayPal notification of payment from the blog host site. It's only a small amount, but this is the first money I've made directly from blogging.
Abundance! is hosted by a blog site which sets up the advertising for me, and I will get paid a share of the money every month from getpaidfromus
Most bloggers join Google Adsense. If I did this I would have to earn $100 to get minimum payout. It could take a long time to reach that amount, and for payment to be mailed out to me. I would have to pay my bank for exchanging dollars into British pounds, and an additional fee for drawing money from an American bank.
I much prefer to be paid monthly at PayPal

Paid To BlogPosted by Ruth B Wed, September 03, 2008 13:47:49I have just set up a new blog, called Abundance! I know I don't post on this one as often as I should, but my new blog will have a daily update. It will be a positive thought, an inspirational quote, or some uplifting news.
I'm using a new blog site which makes it easy for bloggers to make money, with a unique profit sharing scheme that distributes half the site's revenues back to bloggers.
Anyone can open a free account and start blogging. Advertisements are automatically generated and embedded into the new blog. Revenue from these ads is split between the site and the blogger. The more popular the blog, the more money it will earn.
I'm not relying on it to be a big earner, but it will be a good discipline for me to keep up my blog daily. I can also use it to promote my writing and all my referral links. If I can earn a little every month too, it has to be a win/win situation!
